A Little Bit About Me

Hi, and thanks for visiting The Healthy Honey, a blog dedicated to women’s financial wellness. I’m Heather, and I hope to help women by empowering them to flex their financial muscles! I have spent the past ten years in the investment industry, wholesaling financial products to financial advisors and consultants, particularly to corporation’s 401(k) and pension plans. Through all of this, I have had the opportunity to connect with thousands of my client’s clients (re: YOU!). Time and time again, I speak to women who shy away from any conversation surrounding financial fitness. I see this in my friends and family as well–women who let someone else take care of everything or don’t take care of anything at all when it comes to finances. We have to stop this!

I am not advocating that we all study trading stocks pinch our pennies into oblivion–in fact you’ll find that this blog supports spending money on things that are important to you, like fashion and fitness. Spending our money is just as important as saving and investing our money! I want women to take charge of their finances–because I know that this makes us happier! When our financial outlook is sunny, we feel in control, clear minded, and in charge of what happens in our futures. Financial wellness is so much more than getting rid of credit card debt or simply saving money for Retirement (even though doing either one of those things is a great start!). There are many things we have to be in tune with from a financial perspective, and make good choices regarding so that our overall wellness is positively affected. I love wellness, and there are multitudes of wellness blogs out there, but having our financial house in order is one of the most important steps in our search for wellness, and, as a collective group, we are totally missing this point!

I hope that every woman can find something positive to take away from this blog from time to time, and if you have any questions or subjects you want to talk about, please drop me a line and let me know! Looking forward to hearing from you!

XOXO,
Heather
